Insights from IMN Real Estate Asset Management 2025

At this year’s IMN Real Estate Asset Management Forum, two themes resonated across every conversation: doing more with less and unlocking value through connected data.

Pereview’s Founder & CEO Jeff Wilson and VP of Client Success Ron Rossi joined industry peers on separate panels to explore how firms are modernizing operations, navigating market volatility, and rethinking how technology drives performance.

Here are some quick takeaways from the conference, with more in-depth insights to come shortly.

Jeff and fellow panelists will dig into:

  • AI in action: ingestion, validation, and workflows that speed decisions
  • Quantifying ROI: frameworks that tie tech spend to NOI, accuracy, and cycle time
  • Integration at scale: unifying data from multiple PMCs and third-party vendors
  • Investor-grade reporting: delivering real-time insights, forecasting, and ESG
  • Automation wins: lease abstraction, inspections, delinquency tracking, and what’s working
  • Risk & governance: cybersecurity, access controls, and auditability
  • Operating model shifts: how AI reshapes staffing, outsourcing, and Middle Office strategies

Intelligent operations: Turning data into advantage

In Jeff Wilson’s session, “Intelligent Operations: Leveraging Technology, AI, and Data to Optimize CRE Asset Management,” Jeff, along with Logan Brown from TeleCloud, Chris Antenesse from PredictAP, Stephanie Grayson from Cambio, Mark Limpert from Orion Real Estate Partners, and Jonathan Shopay from Harbert Management Corporation, discussed how compressed margins and investor demands are pushing firms to automate, integrate, and innovate.

  • Data management as the foundation: Attendees agreed that standardizing and normalizing data from PMCs is the critical first step to any digital transformation. Pereview’s Data Management Services (DMS) was a frequent talking point for firms seeking accuracy and consistency across systems.

Hold-sell analysis: Balancing risk and opportunity

In Ron Rossi’s panel, Hold-Sell Analysis: Navigating Disposition Decisions in a Volatile Market,” Ron and fellow panelists Brandon Cohen from Harbert Management Corporation, Mario Kilifarski from Fundamental Asset Management, and Max Rodenborn from Zenith IOS focused on how asset managers are re-evaluating hold-sell strategies amid rising rates, refinancing pressures, and cap-rate uncertainty.

  • Scenario modeling is essential: Teams are relying on advanced models to stress-test cash flows, refinancing risk, and value under multiple market conditions.
  • Communication builds confidence: Transparent, data-driven rationale for disposition timing strengthens relationships with LPs and lenders alike.

A common thread: Data discipline and dedicated support

Across both sessions and the event floor, one theme was clear: technology adoption only succeeds when supported by strong data governance and trusted partnerships.

Many attendees asked how Pereview supports clients after go-live – and were pleasantly surprised to learn that every Pereview customer has dedicated account management and ongoing client success support at no additional cost.

From AI-powered automation to data standardization and portfolio-wide visibility, IMN made one thing clear: the future of asset management belongs to firms that can adapt quickly, operate intelligently, and turn information into action.
